The Vinyl Space app aims to provide an unparalleled user experience to customers by seamlessly blending the physical and digital aspects of music shopping.

The user interface adopted straight-lines that are commonly seen in conventional print media to match its branding principles as well as the artistic and vintage ambiance of Fitzroy where the business is located.

Going with brand’s key concept of ‘space’, a 2.5 dimensional presentation of vinyl albums is designed as the app’s home page. Featured albums are promoted in AR format on the home page with the interactions of 3D zoom-in-out to increase the users’ spacial experience in exploring the merchandise. The number of graphic icons is minimised to stand out the visual image of vinyl album covers.
